Hannah Van Beelen

Hannah earned her Bachelor of Arts from Saint Mary’s University in 2015 and her Juris Doctor from the University of New Brunswick in 2023. As a student at UNB, Hannah was awarded the Beaverbrook Scholarship in Law and was active on the executive boards of both the Restorative Justice Society and the Feminist Legal Association. Hannah also volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada and was awarded the PBSC Chief Justice Richard Wagner Award for outstanding leadership in 2021. Currently, Hannah serves as a member of the Mental Health and Wellness Committee for the Canadian Bar Association.

Hannah began her legal career as a general practitioner in 2024, gaining diverse legal experience early in her practice. She has appeared before the New Brunswick Provincial Court and New Brunswick Court of King’s Bench, as well as various administrative tribunals. Hannah is also an authorized paid representative (APR) with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

Hannah’s Core Areas of Practice Include: Estate Planning (Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Advanced Health Care, Directives and Supported Decision Making and Representation Applications), Probate Applications, Estate Administration. Residential Property Transactions, Health Law, Professional Discipline, Regulatory & Administrative Law.

In addition to her core areas of practice, Hannah enjoys performing elopements, preparing adoption applications, assisting individuals with criminal record suspension applications and finding creative solutions to novel and complex legal issues. Hannah recognizes that being faced with legal proceedings of any kind can be overwhelming and she values the trust her clients place in her to represent their best interests with compassion and commitment to their objectives.
